Planning out your Project

Preparing Your Photos: This new document explains Digital Camera settings, Scanner options and how to prepare and plan your photos for great results in our publishing system!
Heritage Makers and Independent Consultants have created Planners based on product type to assist you in planning out your project. Print out the approriate planner for your project and use the space provided to make notes referencing the sequence of your story. If available, print or gain an additional copy of your index print for a particular set of photos, cut it apart and adhere the images to the spaces to give further visual reference.
Each product has various layout options for each page within the book. Knowing the options ahead of time is helpful as it assists you in planning whether a page needs to be all text, one horizontal photo, 2 photos, 3 photos ,4,5,6, etc. Below are links to the layout options available. We are adding new layouts often so choose "change layout" within your project to see the most up to date selection.

Getting Started with our Drag and Drop System: offers complete freedom on placement, unlimited photos/text boxes/elements. These projects can be created using a free basic account or you can upgrade to a Premier Account to have access to papers, embellishments and Easy Projects.

Credit Extension Policy
|
|
We currently offer clients with expiring credits a complimentary, one time 30-day extension period. Effective July 2007, in addition to that one time 30-day extension, for $5.00 clients may call the Home Office at 866-694-3763 and purchase a 60-day extension to apply towards $100.00 worth of current retail credits. The following conditions apply:
- $5.00 will buy a 60-day extension for any credits totaling $1.00 to $100.00. Example: A 60-day extension for two 8x8 book credits (totaling $99.90) costs $5.00; a 60-day extension for one 5x7 StoryPost credit (totaling $1.95) also costs $5.00.
- 60-day extensions are only sold in blocks equivalent to $1.00-$100.00 worth of book credits. If clients wish to extend credits worth more than $100.00, they must purchase another 60-day extension for an additional $5.00. Example: $140 worth of book credits will cost $10.00
- 60-day credit extensions must be purchased while the credits in question are still within their one time 30-day extension period.
- Credit extensions are sold if the client has already received the one time 30-day complimentary extension.
- A second 60-day extension period may be purchased if the credits are still within 30 days of expiring during the last purchased extension period.
We hope this will help our clients complete their projects without feeling the pressure of an expiration date.

Free Photos
|
There may be times when you do not have a picture of a family member or need to fill a space within a layout. You can use a photo representing a place, time, profession, hobby, etc. instead. Here is a site that links you to available resources for such photos.
