Placing Your Order
We are delighted that you have chosen Scan Your MemoryTM to assist you with preserving and protecting your memories for future generations to enjoy!
If you are located in the Charlotte, NC area, you can place your order with one of our local consultants, scrapbook stores, weekend retreat partners or directly with our office. Click here to be directed to our current list or you may contact us to receive further instructions or assistance.
If you are located outside of the Charlotte, NC area, your order will be coordinated by one of our staff members. Please use our order form and fill in the required information. We will be glad to preview your order before you send your shipment by attaching it to an email to: scanyourmemory@carolina.rr.com . Otherwise, please print the form and be sure to include all required information. Your designated staff member will gladly answer questions and assist with finalizing your order.

Methods of payment
Our preferred method of payment is check or money order. However, for your convenience, we also offer Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover credit cards as payment options via PayPal. You may also use your debit/check card if it displays the Visa or Master Card logo on it. If you choose to pay via credit card, please note it in the payment section of the order form.

Preparing your items for transit
Your next step is to prepare your items for transit. If you have a “strap album”, we prefer that you remove your pages from the album. If you have a top loading album, we prefer that you remove your layouts from the pages. This assists us in insuring a timely return of your finished products and reduces wear and tear on your album cover during transit. It is recommended that you place your loose album pages/layouts, without page protectors, in the gift box that your album came in, and place a white soft packing material around the pages to prevent movement. In the event that your page/page protectors are holding embellishments in place, leave them on the page and we will carefully remove those at the time of scanning. If you wish for us to scan your album cover, please include your album as well. If a gift box is not available, you may wrap your album/scrapbook/loose photographs/artwork in a white towel, bubble wrap or other colorless material or insert them in a layout carrier. If you desire, you may also place the items in a plastic bag to prevent possible moisture damage during transit. Place your completed order form, payment in full and items to be scanned in a box. Pack the contents tightly so they do not shift and secure any openings with tape. Please place your last name and current date on the outside of your box. (top of page)

Ship Your Order
Your designated Scan Your MemoryTM staff member will provide you with the address to send your box to. You are welcome to ship/mail it using the carrier of your choice. We recommend using a carrier that offers tracking of your shipment. If you provide us with the tracking number, we will know when to anticipate arrival and make provisions in our production schedule to complete your order in a timely manner. We also recommend that you insure your shipment for the value of photo processing, supplies purchased and crop fees that you may have incurred. (top of page)

Receipt of Order
Upon receipt of your order, we will review your service requests, contents and payment option. We will contact you via email to inform you that we have received your order and that your contents are in our possession. If you are using a credit card for payment, we will send you an additional email including a copy of your order with total amount due, an invoice from Scan Your MemoryTM and a link to PayPal, which is an on-line payment service that is free of charge to the customer. You will provide the service with all of your account information and they will process your payment. We will include your order in our production schedule upon notification that your payment has been received. (top of page)

Order Processing
We will begin the scanning service and treat each item with the utmost respect in our clean environment. We will save digital replicas of your items and organize your high and low-resolution files in separate, clearly labeled folders. Our next step is to create your digital album, including any requested custom elements noted on your order form. When all features are produced and saved, a CD set and/or DVD will be burned and labeled. Our goal is to have your order processed within 10 business days from time we receive your shipment. However, based on holidays and business volume, it may take 15-20 business days. (top of page)

Return Shipment of your order
Upon completion of your order, we will repackage and securely tape your items in the same protective products and box that we received them in. Our standard method to return your shipment is USPS Priority Mail, insured. You may have your order sent requiring a signature for delivery and/or via air service for an additional fee. We will insure the contents for up to $500, which represents your value of photo processing, supplies purchased, crop fees that you may have incurred, and the value of your order with us. We will send you a notification email that your order is complete along with the scheduled delivery date and USPS tracking number. A Scan Your MemoryTM staff member will also track your shipment until it arrives at your final destination. Temporary Storage of CD/DVD Copy
We will retain a copy of your CD set and/or DVD for 21 calendar days from the date that your shipment left our offices. In the event you or friend/family member wishes to have additional printed or digital copies made, you can contact us via email or telephone to place your order and make payment arrangements. We will email you when your reorder is complete and ship it using USPS Priority Services. (top of page)
